Wisconsin Football Impresses Exceptional 2027 QB During Recent Recruiting Visit

During their recent on-campus recruiting festivities, the Wisconsin football staff landed one quarterback commitment and impressed another.

Teddy Jarrad, a 2027 quarterback from Georgia, was on campus for the recent recruiting festivities the Wisconsin football staff hosts each summer. During the festivities, Jarrad had a chance to meet with and speak to the Wisconsin football staff and get a up-close look at Madison. Jarrad is not done visiting Madison just yet, and plans to make it back up to campus for a game this upcoming season.

Every year under the new Wisconsin football staff since Head Coach Luke Fickell took over, a massive recruiting event is held during the middle of the summer ahead of camp. Wisconsin invites plenty of top-ranked recruits and players who the staff are very high on to get a closer look at the staff and the program itself.

One such recruit who was invited for a closer look was 2027 quarterback Teddy Jarrad, who has become a priority target for the Wisconsin football recruiting staff. Jarrad is a dynamic quarterback from Georgia who currently holds a handful of offers, including offers from Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. Jarrad has also drawn interest from other Big Ten Conference programs, but has yet to receive an offer from them.

Following the visit, Jarrad stated that he had an “amazing” experience during his up-close visit with the Wisconsin football staff. The recruit plans on taking another visit soon for a game this upcoming season, but does not know which game yet due to scheduling.

At this point in time, the Wisconsin staff has expressed interest and offers in other quarterback recruits, but none has received as much attention as Jarrad. Wisconsin views Jarrad as a priority target, and landing Jarrad could mean the Badgers are set at quarterback.

The Badgers staff has done similar things in the past with two lone quarterback signees in 2023 signee Cole LaCrue and 2024 signee Mabrey Mettauer. The Wisconsin staff likes to find their “guy” and for Offensive Coordinator Phil Longo that is a tall, strong armed quarterback with mobility. Despite joining the program late in the 2023 cycle, LaCrue fits his mold and so does Mettauer, who was the first big commitment for Longo as a member of the Wisconsin staff.

Another quarterback who fits the mold of Longo perfectly is Jarrad, which is primarily why the quarterback has become a priority target for the Wisconsin football staff. The quarterback stands in at 6-feet-3-inches, and roughly 190-pounds with plenty of room left to grow.

With the impression that Wisconsin has left on Jarrad, landing a commitment from the quarterback in the future is not out of the question. However, the process is still very much young in the eyes of Jarrad, and a commitment seems like something that is still far away.

An important next step in the process for the Wisconsin football staff is securing a visit for one of their games this upcoming season. The game against the Alabama Crimson Tide has been a popular one for recruits, but at this time Jarrad is unsure of what game he will be able to attend. Getting the quarterback on campus again would be a smart recruiting tool to deploy.
