Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: July 27th, 2024
1) Vikings Reportedly Pursued Trade for Pro Bowl QB This Offseason: In a lot of ways, this one feels like shenanigans. Making a phone call to check in makes some sense but it’s unlikely that Justin Herbert was ever a serious consideration. He’s an excellent young QB, the kind of player teams build around, not ship out.

2) Mystery about Vikings RB Takes Weird Turn: Many assumed that onboarding Cam Akers was simply a formality. After all, he was in town last season and seemed to enjoy being a Viking. Instead, he’ll now help out old friends Danielle Hunter, Stefon Diggs, and Case Keenum with the Texans. The Week 3 game should be a fun one.
3) Vikings Brass Reportedly Unhappy about Latest Incident: For good reason. Jordan Addison appears to have made a major mistake. We’ll wait to see what the final decision is, but a suspension from the NFL won’t be at all surprising.

4) The Vikings Shocked the World on Tuesday: The world may be an exaggeration, but the news was shocking. The Justin Jefferson extension took a long time. The Christian Darrisaw news, in contrast, dropped out of nowhere. Good to see the LT around for a while. He’s a great player.
5) Vikings’ Update on Jordan Addison Isn’t Ideal: Nothing about the Jordan Addison situation is ideal. The WR2 is being leaned on to be a difference maker on the field but the off-the-field issues may prohibit him from staying on the field. The organization is taking the issue seriously while nevertheless supporting their young player.
