Deion Sanders had a rollercoaster of a first season at Colorado in 2023. He started very hot, beating TCU in a game where they were heavy underdogs, and then beat Nebraska the following week. Sanders would go on to beat Colorado State in Week Three, and then his downfall happened when he went on the road at Oregon the following week and lost 42-6.
Colorado would end up with one more win the rest of the season and failed to reach a bowl game, and now they will be heading to the Big 12 this season. Colorado should be better this year and will be playing in a weaker conference than they were last season in the PAC-12, and if they figure it out, there could be a chance Sanders heads to Hollywood and takes over at USC.

ESPN’s college football analyst Paul Finebaum has been very critical of current USC head coach Lincoln Riley, and he wanted to fire him after last season. Finebaum has come up with a solution for his criticism of Riley. He thinks Deion Sanders will be tired of Colorado because it’s not precisely a PrimeTime place, and he will head to Los Angeles, where he can be the star.

Sanders loves the spotlight, and Los Angeles is a city entirely of stars, so it would be a perfect fit for him. Let’s not get crazy and think he should be the coach at USC; maybe he could go to UCLA, but replacing Riley with Sanders would be one of the biggest jokes in the history of the sport.

Riley gets a lot of criticism for not having a defense, but how he coaches offense and produces quarterbacks is unbelievable. Riley has USC in a much better place than they were a few years ago, and getting rid of him for Deion Sanders, who only has coached one season in Division One FBS and had a terrible year, is not the answer.
Sanders probably has a better chance of going to a team like Florida next year, where they will need a head coach after they get rid of Billy Napier and will need some spark in a tough SEC to get players to go to school there.

Sanders still needs to prove himself at this level before he takes a job away from one of the best coaches in college football. Riley isn’t going anywhere anytime soon and will be at USC for a very long time.
