Robinson grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, so it was a foregone conclusion that the four-star running back would choose the hometown Crimson Tide to play his college football. As a freshman, Robinson played behind future NFL first-round picks Najee Harris and Josh Jacobs. Over the next two seasons, Robinson was the primary backup to Harris before he departed for the 2021 NFL draft.

In the 2021 season, Robinson finally had his chance as Alabama’s starting running back. He answered the call, rushing for 1,343 yards and five touchdowns while also catching 35 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns. Washington used a third-round pick on Robinson in the 2022 NFL draft.

Just weeks before the 2022 season began, Robinson was shot twice in the leg in attempted carjacking in Washington, D.C. Miraculously, he recovered in time to make his NFL debut in Week 5. Despite never being 100% in his rookie season, Robinson still rushed for 797 yards and two touchdowns.
