Texas A&M baseball and Michael Earley round out portal class with stud pitcher

This Texas A&M baseball team has been on some kind of run in the portal since Michael Earley took over as the head man. Guys like Myles Patton, Jamal George, Gavin Kash, Wyatt Henseler, and others all project to be big contributors to this team next year, and all have come via the transfer portal.

The hitting that this Aggie squad has brought in, as you might expect, has been eye-popping. When one of the best hitting coaches in the nation takes over your program, of course, this is what you would expect.

The pitching started off a bit slower, but it has picked up in a hurry since coach Jason Kelly arrived in College Station. The aforementioned Myles Patton, former Texas commit Gavin Lyons, and others all look to be a big part of what the Aggies are doing going forward.

Now, the Ags have rounded out their class with one more arm. Following Kelly from Washington will be Grant Cunningham, who was one of the top relievers for the Huskies—and in the nation—this last year.

Cunningham is a righty who notched a 2.86 ERA along with 56 strikeouts in 50.1 innings pitched last year. He should slot right in with the Aggies as a reliever, and potentially a big time closer depending on how Earley and Kelly decide to use him.

This really is the cherry on top for this transfer class. The Aggies have added both some huge hitters and deadly pitchers, and both the starting nine and weekend rotation look like they are rounding into form. This Texas A&M baseball team is looking really scary headed into next year.
