Unless you watched every single game last season, I don’t blame you for not recognizing any of the UNC football team’s projected starters this coming season.

Drake Maye is no longer slinging the rock. Devontez Walker won’t be catching passes, while Cedric Gray won’t be leading the defense.

There’s one North Carolina Tar Heels star we know you’ll recognize: Omarion Hampton.

Last year, Hampton finished fifth amongst all Division-I running backs with 1,504 rushing yards. He was tied atop the leaderboard momentarily with Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon. Hampton was initially supposed to back up British Brooks last season, but he ended up starting and receiving eight different honors, including a spot on the All-ACC First Team.

Why should you play with Hampton? Not only is he amongst the country’s top running backs, but he’s a 93 overall in EA Sports CFB 25.

If you’re the least bit familiar with sports video games, players rated a minimum 90 overall are near-impossible to stop.
