The Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of attaining bonified status as an NFL dynasty this season. While they have already won three Super Bowls in the last five seasons, another title this year would make them the first team in NFL history to win the Super Bowl three times in a row. The Green Bay Packers won three consecutive NFL titles on two separate occasions, the last coming in 1966-68, a run that included wins in Super Bowls I and II.
In addition to their three Super Bowl victories in recent years, the Chiefs have also played in six-consecutive AFC Championship Games. In other words, year in and year out, they are one of the most dominant teams in the NFL.
Patrick Mahomes Is a Key Part of the Kansas City Chiefs Run of Success

While there need to be many contributing factors to a team’s success in the NFL, today’s game sees the quarterback position as one of the most vital on the field. Fortunately for Kansas City, they have Patrick Mahomes under center, arguably the best quarterback in the NFL today.
Since becoming the full-time starter in 2018, Mahomes has made six Pro Bowls, won two NFL MVP Awards, and has been named Super Bowl MVP three times. In his very first season as the starting quarterback, he led the NFL in passing touchdowns with 50 while throwing for 5,097 yards. Of course, he was named MVP that year.
Mahomes won his second NFL MVP Award in 2022 when he led the NFL in passing yards (5,250), passing touchdowns (41), and passing yards per game (308.8).
Last year, Mahomes had what would be considered a “down year” for him, yet still was named to the Pro Bowl. He threw for 4,183 yards, 27 touchdowns, and a career-high 14 interceptions while turning in a career-low 92.6 passer rating.

Earlier this week, Pro Football Network released its list of the top-100 players in the NFL today. Despite the high number of talented players available, they named Mahomes as the league’s best overall player:
“Already considered one of the best players in NFL history, Patrick Mahomes is the top player in the league heading into 2024.
“A three-time Super Bowl winner and two-time league MVP through six NFL campaigns, Mahomes has a path to becoming the greatest player in the NFL’s record books. Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid are on the verge of creating the league’s next indelible dynasty with the Kansas City Chiefs.”
What is so incredible about Mahomes and his accomplishments is that he is still just 28 years old. With a good decade or so left in front of him, the Chiefs quarterback could very well own just about every quarterback record there is by the time his career is over.
