Teammates Aliyah Boston and Erica Wheeler Follow Caitlin Clark’s Footsteps, Extend Special Gesture Towards Indiana’s Youngest Fans

The on-court chemistry of Indiana Fever is proving to be a treat to watch for the fans. For the first time in 7 years, the 2012 champions have a shot of making it to the playoffs. At the same time, some of the team’s off-court activities are also a delightful experience. Soon after Caitlin Clark fulfilled her volunteering mission by providing affordable housing solutions in Boone County, her teammates Aliyah Boston and Erica Wheeler did not shy away from taking a page from the rookie’s books and indulged themselves in some community services as well.

The duo recently visited the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. Here, both of them interacted with some of the young Fever fans who also happened to be patients in the hospital. The pediatric hospitalist and the medical director of the institution Dr.Beth Dodson welcomed them and the franchise mascot Freddy Fever gladly.

The three of them were seen having a fun time interacting with the kids as well as their families throughout their visit. In addition to this, Boston and Wheeler also distributed some gifts as well, some of which had a basketball theme.

Vice President of the women’s services at Ascension St. Vincent Julie Schnieders also spared a thought or two about their special trip. “Our goal is to bring some of these fun experiences into the hospital. So, by bringing in players from the Indiana Fever, they are able to have something happy and fun to look forward to,” she said as per the Indiana Fever’s official upload.

Not so long ago, the former NFL quarterback collaborated with the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer. The result of it is a four-episode docuseries by his entertainment studio Omaha Productions featuring Clark. He was able to provide some valuable insights into how Clark’s historic senior season spanned out both professionally and personally.

Anyhow, the “Full Court Press,” also brought to light the untold stories of South Carolina’s Kamilla Cardoso and UCLA’s Kiki Rice. The docuseries gained a lot of traction after its trailer was released. Following this, it premiered on May 11 and 12 on ABC and later on ESPN Plus.

There is no denying that Caitlin Clark is a tremendous ambassador of the sport. Her actions both on and off the court serve as true inspirations not only for the fans but also her teammates. As a result, many would be eager to witness her set more examples in the future.
