Vegas loves the Ohio State football team’s chances to win a national title

The Ohio State football team perpetually is one of the most talented teams. Year after year, they have some of the best talent in the country. They haven’t lost games in the last three years due to a lack of talent. In most of those matchups, they have been the more talented team.

Ohio State is going to have the best defense in the country. The offense is going to be improved from last year, although it probably won’t be elite like it was in 2022. That was the most dangerous offense in college football. With as well-rounded of a team as they have, they have a real shot to win a national title.

Vegas seems to agree with that sentiment. We are just over a month from the college football season starting and the odds for who is going to win the national championship have changed a bit from the first of the year when they first came out. Ohio State is still high up though.

According to FanDuel, the Buckeyes have +400 odds to win a national championship. They have the second-best odds to win a title. The only team who is ahead of them is Georgia and they sit at +300. Georgia is going to be a very solid team, but they certainly aren’t dominant.

There isn’t a truly dominant team in college football this season. There are a lot of teams who will have a chance to win a title this year. It should make for a great regular season of college football, especially in the first year of the new 12-team College Football Playoff.

Ohio State has the best chance of any Big Ten team. The next closest Big Ten team on the odds board is Oregon, which is +800. They are a distant third. It’s clear that Vegas loves both the Buckeyes and the Bulldogs. Ohio State will have to face the Ducks though and that won’t be easy.

Ohio State’s schedule starts in September. It can’t come here soon enough.
