Ohio State Former Quarterback Kyle McCord Gets Roasted By The New York Giants On Hardknocks For His Terrible Performance That Led Marvin Harrison Jr Taking The High Road

Ohio State’s incredible run on quarterbacks under head coach Ryan Day ended last season when starter Kyle McCord had a very average season and decided to transfer to Syracuse to play his college football for the upcoming season.

The Buckeyes and McCord needed to divorce because it wasn’t going to work out; if McCord had come back to Ohio State this season, he would have probably been benched and would have ruined his college career, but now he gets a chance to play stress-free and enter his name into the NFL Draft. Still, there is a chance he won’t be heading to the New York Giants next season because they destroyed his playing ability on Tuesday night’s Hard Knocks episode.

A video was going around on Tuesday night of a clip from the NFL Scouting Combine this year. It had former Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr getting interviewed by the Giants wide receiver coach Mike Groh. They brought up a clip from the Wisconsin game this past season, and Groh shows a play where McCord underthrows the ball to Harrison by a lot. He asks Harrison how he responds to a quarterback who misses you badly, and Harrison takes the high road and says he doesn’t say a thing to the quarterback; he can still make a play on the ball and always blames it on himself.

Groh had a different reaction to McCord’s throw and said it was a crap throw, and I’m putting it nicely.

Oh but I am a hater…

Marvin Harrison Jr. was essentially set up to throw his QB (Kyle McCord) under the bus during his interview with the #Giants — but he didn’t fall for the trap.

Well done for not falling for it. pic.twitter.com/cM4tNL3TTU

This is not a good look for McCord, as the NFL teams are already roasting him, and he hasn’t even gone through the draft process yet. If one team thinks this about McCord, a handful of others probably feel the same way.

The Giants probably shouldn’t be making fun of McCord on live television since they do have Daniel Jones as their starter, and he’s not exactly Tom Brady.

New York will most likely be looking for a quarterback next season in the draft, and McCord probably isn’t on their list to replace Jones at the moment.
