“Karma Was Beautiful”: Caitlin Clark Fans Hijack Cheryl Reeve’s Heartfelt Post as Lynx Coach’s Comments Against Fever Come Back to Haunt Her

Caitlin Clark seems to be getting better with each game. Whether you look at her ball-handling, passing, or shooting, she has improved in each and every department since her debut. And now, the 22-year-old has added another feather to her cap. Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve’s recent attack on the Fever fans gave the team and the first-overall pick additional motivation. Going head-to-head with the 4th-seeded Lynx, Indiana stunned the fans in attendance with a masterful 4th-quarter display. What more? The fans love this way of Caitlin Clark taking revenge! So much so that they decided to take over her recent X post.

Cheryl Reeve posted a heartwarming tweet about the “Black girls rock” T-shirt that she wore for the game against Indiana. She was writing back to the Beverly Bond Organization, which she was supporting through her contribution. She wrote, “Happy to support! For all who asked, you too can buy the shirt I wore in support of @BeverlyBond nonprofit organization that is at the forefront of advocating for the visibility and empowerment of Black women across various fields, from entertainment to corporate leadership.”

However, the Indiana Fever fans certainly did not take the look positively. Probably because of what the head coach had said about them in the pregame press conference. When the reporters asked her about more Indiana followers in their home, she mentioned, “I don’t give two sh*ts.” Laughing at the remark, she repeated herself to the reporters asking her again, “I don’t give one sh*t.”

Seems like the overwhelming support that Indiana has received even on their road games completely took over Minneapolis as well. Today, most of the 18,978 fans in the Target Center were in the red, supporting the visiting Indiana Fever. Hence, in her post-game presser, the coach gave her flowers to Caitlin Clark by mentioning, “Everybody knows that the reason why our teams around the league are having sellouts are because Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are coming to town.”

Despite her acknowledging the rookie’s powers to attract a crowd, the fans could not help but troll the head coach.

Caitlin Clark grabs the win and more support after the Lynx game

The Indiana Fever is surely getting more comfortable in the league as a young team. In their last seven games, Caitlin Clark and Co. have gotten the better of the Phoenix Mercury twice, the New York Liberty, and the Minnesota Lynx. All these teams are +.500 teams. Hence, with their latest win in the bag, the fans are not just happy about their favorite WNBA team but also the fact that the dub came after Reeve’s comments on the fans and Clark’s Olympic snub.

Especially at the home of the Minnesota Lynx and with a crowd that hugely supported the Fever. Resonating with it all, one fan brought in Clark’s favorite singer Taylor Swift’s “Karma” into the conversation. The delight was clearly visible in their comment as well.

“Caitlin Clark BEAT your a**🤣🤣 The Karma was Beautiful. You can go ahead & block me now.”

One follower simply suggested Cheryl Reeve one thing that she could do after the loss. That is, to show Caitlin Clark some love. Apparently, the rookie’s fan believes that the Lynx head coach hates her because previously, a conspiracy loomed that pointed out Reeve to be the reason for Clark’s Team USA snub. In the very beginning of the 2024 WNBA season, the coach took a shot at the league, mentioning how there are many other teams that they should broadcast other than Caitlin Clark’s Fever.

“Stop hating on Caitlin Clark”

Another one simply came into the comment section to seemingly poke the wound on Reeve. They mentioned the obvious that Indiana took the win home. The young team definitely showed what they have been building for some time now and that was resilience. Despite a slow third quarter, the team bounced back in the final quarter to take a lead for good against Minnesota.

“Fever won 🔥”

Caitlin Clark’s fans do not seem to be leaving Cheryl Reeve alone now. One more came into the conversation, asking the head coach to hold the defeat. While the Lynx coach did not say anything negative in the post-game press conference, looks like she will have to experience the brunt of the Fever fans for some time now.

“Hold that L”

Many clips from the game are going viral on the internet right now. Specifically, the ones where Caitlin Clark takes a shot, and the crowd goes berserk. The moment when the Fever won over the Lynx is also making rounds as the Target Center roared into cheers for Indiana. Hence, a WNBA follower, who was not in the arena, wrote that it sounded like it was a home game for the visitors. They also suggested to Reeve that she should thank Clark for the sold-out arena. However, she did do that as she gave the young team their flowers.

“Sounded on TV like it was a home game for Indiana. Btw, you can thank CC anytime for the sellout.”

It might not have been the best game for Caitlin Clark, but in the end, her team did win. As for Cheryl Reeve, we know that she does indeed appreciate the rookie for the sold-out arena. Now, Indiana has an 11-14 record and will fly to Dallas to face the Wings. As their last game before the All-Star/ Olympics break, we can surely hope for another fiery run by the Fever.
