Social media is after Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders after his recent comments at Big 12 Media Days. Sanders and the Buffaloes will have a lot of eyes watching their program in his second season in Boulder.

As previously discussed on GH, Sanders said this week that he feels extra judgment as a college football coach because people are worried about academics. He also feels like he’s under a microscope:
“I’m judged on a different scale. My wins are totally different than your wins. Your wins; you just judging football. That’s why I have to start by giving you education, academics, and so forth. I have to give you those things so you understand there is a greater scope.
I can’t win nine games, and our GPA suffers. Our GPA can’t be high but we lose another eight games. We can’t not go and grab high school players, and you got a bunch of guys out of the portal getting incarcerated. My wins are different. We have to win in every area. That’s the way we are judged, and I’m cool with that.”
Sanders highlighted that his presence in Colorado has led to the team being over-analyzed in every facet of the game, including academics. However, the frontman reiterated he is “cool” with the added pressure, something he believes he has had since his college playing days with the Florida State Seminoles in 1985.

Sanders is getting what he bargained for. He wants to be loud and have a flashy brand to attract the athletes he wants to his program. That noise is going to get attention from college football fans. Here are the best takes of fans reacting to Sanders’ comments.
I’m so done with him.
Excuses FLOWING already😂

Part of being a head coach. I think he’s the right guy for Colorado. Expectations are outstanding though

Anyone carries themselves like he does (and it’s not a bad thing) of course you’re gonna have a target on your back or have a higher standard. Prime put himself in that spot, we’ll see if he can shut everyone up.

You were worshiped after the first 3 wins, going 3-0. The Celebrities jumped on the bandwagon, then the wheels fell off going 1-8 in the last 9 games.

Right…he cares about academics. Can’t figure out if he truly believes his own hype or has a screw loose?
