Deion Sanders Hits Another Milestone by Bolstering CU Defensive Strengths With Colorado’s Unprecedented NFL Flex

“Wasted Your Money”: Deion Sanders Faithful Snapped Back to “Impossible” Reality After Bets on Colorado Skyrocket

Is Colorado rising from the ashes after a humiliating dip in the pool of defeat? Last season for Deion Sanders and the Buffs is like a short-lived fairytale plagued by a sad ever-after ending. But like a knight in shining armor, some NFL power could be just what they need to change their destiny this season.

With what’s on the news, it can be said that Deion Sanders is heading in the right direction in recruiting both players and coaches. They just secured another ray of hope for their defense – Damione Lewis, the defensive genius with 10 years of experience as a seasoned NFL player and four years as a defensive coach in the pro league with the Seattle Seahawks.

If bringing 14 years of NFL experience to Colorado is not a ray of hope, then what is? As per an IG post by noskozone, “Damione Lewis will officially replace Coach Sal Sunseri as the defensive line coach!” The 46-year-old served in Seattle for two years as a DL coach before ascending to the role of a DT coach and assistant DL coach for two more years before getting his former position back in Colorado.

Do you think Deion Sanders’ NFL experience is the key to Colorado’s defensive success?

Coach Prime’s program already boasts several capable coaches with NFL experience. Damione Lewis’ addition raises their 140 combined years of experience to 154. The greater the experience, the higher the chance of winning! The Buffs need all the extra hand they can as they try to make a difference in their first Big 12 season. Their defense last year isn’t something they might want to delve into but we have to!

Has Colorado fixed their holes?

The Big 12 is crazy on high-end offenses and yes, Shedeur Sanders already has a formidable O-line to back him up in the upcoming season. O-line threats like Jordan Seaton and Kahlil Benson are going to make sure that Colorado never has to face another humiliating season on offense. But forget the dismal offense last year, the Buffs defense in 2023 didn’t fare that well either.

Colorado ranked 121st among FBS teams, allowing 34.8 points per game. But then, they haven’t been idle this offseason as they secured some defensive beasts like LB Jaylen Wester and LB Nikhai-Hill Green. And with the new DL coach announced, we can only wonder what’s cooking in the defense locker. Be sure to tune in for Colorado’s game against North Dakota State at Folsom Field on August 29. The show begins there!
