We all want to be happy and live our lives, and where we live can help with that dream. Well, a new ranking proves that people living in Illinois are among the happiest in America.
The American Dream
Owning a home, getting that dream job, and raising a family is the ideal American dream and it seems you can accomplish all of that in Illinois and be happy. We know (those of us who live in Illinois) it’s not easy living in the Land of Lincoln. There are high gas prices, high taxes, and high everything, but there are good places to call home in Illinois.
World Population Review placed Illinois 8th on the list of happiest places to live. Hawaii came in at number one followed by Maryland, Minnesota, and Utah. Three of the main factors taken into account were emotions and physical well-being, work environment, and community.
How Lucky We Are
We are lucky here in the Tri-States to be surrounded but some amazing communities that come together when one is hurting. I think that’s what I love the most about living in the Midwest. There may not be as many employment opportunities, but if you desire to work in a big city you have options in Springfield, Chicago, or Champaihm.
Yes, Illinois is a hard state to live in, but when you find your perfect spot you can be happy in the Land of Lincoln.
