EA Sports snub Texas, only two Longhorns in top 100 players of College Football 25

As July 19 (the release date of the long-awaited EA Sports College Football 25) rapidly approaches, football and video game fans have been getting previews of everything the game will entail.

On Wednesday, July 10, EA Sports released a list of the top 100 active collegiate players who have opted into the game.

Shockingly, only two Texas Longhorns were included in the top 100; quarterback Quinn Ewers and left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., leaving out upwards of 100 players from the Horns’ roster.

Obviously, the top 100 won’t include the entire Texas roster, that would be unreasonable.

However, a spot for wideout Isaiah Bond Jr. or running back CJ Baxter doesn’t feel uncalled for.

Digressing, here are the rankings of the two Texas stars who were included on the list:

92 overall rating. Quinn Ewers. Quinn Ewers. 27. Ewers. . . player. 467. Quarterback

The redshirt junior quarterback will be a star for Texas in 2024, there is no denying it.

Quinn Ewers came into his own with the Horns last season and found his footing as an elite quarterback in college football.

Ewers is expected to excel in the SEC and lead the Longhorns to even more success.

. 94 overall rating. 467. Left tackle. Kelvin Banks Jr.. player. . Kelvin Banks Jr.. 13. KBJ

Another returning junior for the Horns, Kelvin Banks Jr. was a crucial part of Texas’ offensive line last season.

In 2024, Banks is expected to play an even larger role in protecting Ewers and stepping into a leadership position both on and off the field for Texas.
