Ohio State football team can’t land five-star receiver recruit

The Ohio State football program was hoping to flip a five-star receiver to add to their great recruiting class. They have the best recruiting class in the country and have for some time. There are a few five-star recruits that they have been hoping to add to the end of the 2025 class they’ve assembled.

One of those five-star recruits they were hoping to get was Dakorien Moore. Moore de-committed from LSU a while back and has been visiting a bunch of schools in search of his new school. Some lucky school was going to flip him and bring him in.

Moore had a final four of Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and LSU. LSU was surprisingly still on the list despite him de-committing from them a few months ago. Brian Hartline was hoping to get his first five-star receiver recruit for the 2025 class. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.

Moore decided to commit to Oregon. The Buckeyes have struck out with five-star receivers in this class, which is somewhat surprising. Still, Hartline has three receivers in this class and he landed two five-star receivers last class. Receiver is the last position on the field the Ohio State football team needs to worry about.

Ohio State still has a shot to land a five-star receiver in this class. They have been the favorites to land Jamie Ffrench for months now. He isn’t announcing his school decision until the end of August, so the Buckeyes have to continue to be diligent in recruiting him.

The Buckeyes have 22 recruits overall for this class. They will likely have at least 25 recruits for this class when everything is all said and done. Besides Ffrench, they have a couple of other five-star recruits they are looking to land. They feel very comfortable with where they are at.
