Player who talked trash to the Pacers signs a deal with a new team

During the regular season, the Indiana Pacers owned the Milwaukee Bucks. They beat them four out of the five times they played them, including in the In-Season Tournament. It’s something that didn’t sit well with members of the Bucks and they made their feelings known.

Malik Beasley spoke out about that. He said that Indiana would be playing them in the playoffs for years and that they should be scared. The shooting guard started for most of those regular-season beatdowns. Once it was clear that the Pacers would be taking on the Bucks in the first round of the playoffs, Beasley double-downed on his trash talk.

Of course, we know that the Bucks got crushed in the first round by Indiana in six games. The Pacers eventually made it to the Eastern Conference Finals while Milwaukee sat at home for a month before that series. Now, Beasley will no longer be playing the Pacers in the playoffs for years to come.

According to Shams Charania, Beasley has signed a one-year deal worth $6 million with the Detroit Pistons. Beasley had to sign a minimum deal with the Bucks in the first place, so at least he’s getting more money. Still, he won’t be sniffing the playoffs this season.

Detroit continues to be one of the worst franchises in sports. As a Pacers fan, it’s great to see. The Malice in the Palace took away Indiana’s best chance at a title. Watching them suffer is something that most Pacers fans enjoy. Now Beasley gets to be a part of that suffering.

If Indiana continues to see the Bucks in the playoffs, so be it. They obviously aren’t afraid of them. If they do, they won’t be seeing one of the big guys who was talking trash about them.
