What to know about the Fourth of July forecast, fire danger

california heat wave temperatures : As multiple wildfires continue to burn in Northern California, the likelihood of more wildfires starting on Thursday remains high as the heat wave continues.

KCRA is calling July 3.4 a warning day because of both the dangerous heat that can cause health issues and the high fire risk. The alert will continue till Sunday.

What is the forecast for the 4th of July?
The Fourth of July holiday will warm up quickly. Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said the morning will start relatively cool, but by 1 p.m., parts of the Sacramento Valley could already be seeing triple-digit weather.

The forecast high will be similar to Wednesday’s, which reached 108 degrees in some areas. Verdoorn said that by 8 p.m., temperatures could fall below the 100-degree mark. california heat wave temperatures

A high-pressure dome of warm air will remain over California, keeping temperatures warm in the afternoon but not much relief overnight. It will last until Sunday, but Verdoorn said by Monday the dome could begin to move away, causing temperatures to cool slightly from some of the better delta air.

Friday and Saturday will be a little warmer, around 107-110 degrees.

Verdoorn said what makes Saturday’s high unique is that its forecast high of 110 degrees is five degrees higher than the record high of 105 degrees. california heat wave temperatures

The next week will be hot but its intensity will be less. The region has been witnessing highs in the 101-104 range since Monday.

The KCRA3 weather team is calling for Alert Days through Sunday and Impact Days Monday through Wednesday.
