Former Wisconsin Badgers’ place in The Athletic’s latest mock draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is now just over a week away, as the teams and players make final preparations before the marathon begins.

The draft will be a quiet one for Wisconsin Badgers fans. The program did not send a bonafide first-round talent, or even third-round talent, to the professional ranks this season. There are plenty of quality players, though none of the caliber of Jonathan Taylor, Leo Chenal, Ryan Ramczyk or T.J. Watt.

That doesn’t always matter for Wisconsin products. Just recently undrafted linebackers T.J. Edwards and Jack Sanborn have shown real staying power, while quarterback Russell Wilson, linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel and running back James White were severely underdrafted. Graduates of the program seem to always make an impact at the NFL level, regardless of their draft position.

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler recently put together a fresh 7-round mock draft as we approach one week until the event begins. Here is where every former Wisconsin Badger was selected:
