The Indiana Pacers have some trade assets that they can use to upgrade their team. They are in control of all of their first-round picks except for 2026, as well as some young players who are coveted around the league. If they want to make a semi-big move, they have the ammo.
One of the players that they would likely need to move in a big trade is Jarace Walker. Walker was the 8th pick in last year’s Draft and has a lot of great physical tools. His length on the wing makes him attractive to a lot of teams around the league, even if he hardly played as a rookie.
Bringing back Obi Toppin lessened the chances of Walker seeing real playing time next year. Still, teams around the league are apparently fans of his. A recent social media post by Walker has led some Pacers fans to think he could be out the door in a trade soon.
Walker’s Instagram story showed a signed jersey from T.J. McConnell that was gifted to him. The emojis he used is what is concerning some Pacers fans. Take a look at the post below.

Some Pacers fans think this could mean Walker is on his way out in some sort of trade. Others think this could mean McConnell is about to head out. Either way, it would actually be a surprising move if something were to happen since Indiana has given off vibes that they are running the team back from last year.
This post could just mean that Walker is happy that McConnell was nice enough to sign a jersey and write a heartfelt message to him. He could just be grateful for that. But in the day and age of NBA players using social media to stir up drama, you can never properly figure out what posts mean.
If something were going to happen, it would happen soon. We’ll have to see if the Pacers have a big move left in them.
