After a difficult final season in the Pac-12 Conference this past year, the Colorado Buffaloes football team is prepared to bounce back in a new conference. However, analysts are not as quick to expect a bounce back out of the Buffaloes this upcoming year as their win total has been set at 5.5 games by sports-books. A recent CBS prediction suggested that bettors should place their money on the under, which would mean the Buffaloes would not sniff a bowl game this upcoming season.

During a recent breakdown of the Big 12 Conference win totals this upcoming season, analysts broke down whether or not to bet the under each team’s win total prediction. One win total that stood out was the prediction for the Colorado Buffaloes football team that suggested the team may win less than five games this year.
Currently, the Buffaloes are predicted to win 5.5 games on most sports-books, which they are favored to beat. However, Shehan Jeyarajah of CBS Sports believes the safe bet is taking the Buffaloes to win five games or less this upcoming season.
Can the Colorado Buffaloes Football Team Earn Bowl Eligibility?

Earning bowl eligibility any season in any conference is not an easy task given the level of competition. For the Colorado football team, becoming bowl eligible during their first season within the Big 12 Conference could prove to be rather difficult.
Starting with the schedule for Colorado, a tough out-of-conference match-up against the Nebraska Cornhuskers could prove to be difficult. Nebraska is in a similar boat as Colorado, aiming to make a name for themselves and earn eligibility this season. Inside their own conference, Colorado is going to have tough games against Baylor, Kansas State, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State.
While the schedule may prove to be tough for Colorado football, what could be even harder is adjusting to the new style of play. The Big 12 has long been known as a conference that airs the ball out, and at times may not play the best defense. Colorado has experience playing against air raid offenses last season, but might not be prepared for the barrage coming this year.

For the Colorado football team, the biggest key to a bounce back season is not the additions that have been made, but rather the health of the team. Adding depth is always crucial for each team, but Colorado more so after injuries slaughtered the team last season. Losing key players during the season due to injuries is just part of the sport which is why the health of the team is going to be key.
Can Colorado overhaul their team and add plenty of reliable, skilled depth in just one off-season? Absolutely. Have they been able to do so? Well, the answer will only be found during the season when Colorado may need to rely upon their depth.
If the Colorado football team has improved their roster, it will not only help with their depth issues, but also it will provide more support to their stars.
