Other Big Ten teams besides the Ohio State football team who can make the CFP

The Ohio State football program is one of the favorites to come out of the Big Ten this year. They have one of the best rosters in the entire country, let alone in the Big Ten. While their goal is to win the Big Ten, their ultimate goal is to win a national championship.

In order to do that, they have to first make the College Football Playoff. It’s now up to a 12-team playoff for the first time this season. Even if the Buckeyes don’t win the Big Ten this year, they still should have no problems making the CFP. They could even make it if they had two losses.

Ohio State isn’t the only Big Ten team that has their eyes set on the 12-team College Football Playoff. There are quite a few other teams that have a shot to make the Playoff as well. One of them is the best team in the conference besides the Buckeyes.

That team is Oregon. They too have one of the best rosters in the entire country. They will be a top-five team in the polls when the season starts. It would be shocking if they didn’t qualify for the Playoff this season with the talent they return on both sides of the ball.

If there was ever a year that Penn State was going to make the Playoff, this would be it. They have been shut out in the past because of both the Buckeyes and Michigan. The Nittany Lions are perhaps the third-best team in the conference this year and they are still a really good team.

The only other Big Ten team that has a shot to make the CFP is probably Washington. They played in the national championship game a year ago and fell to TTUN. Michigan lost too much talent on offense and too many coaches to compete for the CFP this year.

We’ll see how it all turns out in what is a very strong Big Ten Conference.
