James Wiseman is the newest member of the Indiana Pacers.
A league source confirmed the signing — which can’t become official until July 6 — to the IndyStar on Tuesday. Wiseman, the No. 2 pick of the 2020 NBA draft, is 23 years old.

Injuries have played a big part in James Wiseman’s career
Wiseman was the Gatorade National Player of the Year going into college but suffered an ankle injury in the preseason. He would play in three games at Memphis before being suspended for receiving improper recruiting inducements.
After being drafted No. 2 by the Golden State Warriors, Wiseman’s rookie season ended with a torn meniscus. Wiseman had surgery for the injury, which sidelined him for the entire 2021-22 season. In 2022-23, Wiseman played in 45 games for the Warriors and Pistons. This past season, Wiseman played in 63 games.
