2026 Target Looking Program That ‘Treats Me Like Family’

Wisconsin football head coach Luke Fickell

The Wisconsin football staff has been keeping a close eye on a certain edge rusher hailing from New Jersey in the 2026 recruiting class.

Seth Clarke, a 2026 edge rusher, has become a recruiting target for the Wisconsin football staff after scouting out the 2026 class. Clarke is a versatile defender who has just barely begun to scratch the surface of what he can truly be capable of. During a recent interview with Wisconsin Sports Heroics, Clarke revealed what he is looking for in a school before he makes his collegiate decision in the future.

After the opening of the 2026 contact recruiting period, the Wisconsin football staff quickly went out searching for prototypical players that would fit into the team. One such player has been physical 2026 edge rusher and New Jersey native Seth Clarke.

Clarke currently holds four scholarship offers from Duke, Maine, Fordham, and Rutgers. However, the defender has been in contact with the Wisconsin football program and other power conference members since the recruiting period opened. Although, Clarke has not yet received any other major offers since the opening of the period.

It should only be a matter of time for the versatile edge rusher due to his combination of power and mental prowess. Clarke is not just a bull-rusher, but rather an all-around edge rusher with plenty of versatility within his position.

For Clarke, the process is still fairly new and thus many of the offers or connections he has been looking to make have yet to happen. However, Clarke is not letting that stop him from getting close with the teams that have been in contact with him early on. For Clarke, the biggest thing has been finding a program that will “…treat me like family once I step on campus.”

When asked about his recruitment, Clarke stated, “There are a few programs I’m interested in but I haven’t received an offer from yet.” Clarke also added, “The seem like they’d be a great fit for my skills and interests. I’m hopeful I will get offers from them in the near future.”

While the process is just staring for Clarke, the edge rusher feels he has plenty to offer to teams that have shown interest. Clarke provides excellent reach and football intelligence on the field that teams and coaches simply cannot teach. Along with that, the edge rusher also has a great motor and drive for his position as he is consistently looking to make an impact each play.

One of the key aspects of the recruitment process for Clarke has been finding somewhere that can be called both home and the office. Clarke is not out to just make connections and play football, but rather dominate on the field and potentially earn a coveted spot in the NFL someday. However, that cannot be accomplished without support, effort, and a willingness to help.

When asked about what he is looking for in a school, Clarke stated, “A school that the relationships that I build during my time there will stay with me way past football.” It is clear the defender has his eyes set on an environment that will provide him more than just on-field success.
