The Ohio State football team has the best recruiting class in the country for 2025. A big reason for that is because of how well they’ve recruited in the secondary. They have the two best cornerbacks in the country committed to them. Both of them have been locked in for a while.
Ohio State was hoping to get another top recruit at the cornerback position over the weekend. After being favored to land Dorian Brew for months, they were hoping to be able to add another five-star cornerback. That was especially true after he made a visit last weekend.Tim Walton has recruited very well, after all.
Instead, Brew decided to commit to play for Oregon. A fellow Big Ten team was chosen. Brew has been the third choice for the Buckeyes for a while now and the Ducks made him a priority. You can’t really fault him for wanting to be someone’s number one choice.
Brew is six feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. That’s good size to play press coverage, something Jim Knowles loves to do. It’s a shame that the Buckeyes weren’t able to keep him out of the Big Ten if he wasn’t going to come to Columbus. Still, they feel good about who they have.
The Ohio State football program still has hopes to land a few five-star recruits despite a class that is suddenly filling up quickly. The 2025 class already has 21 commits after having just a couple dozen a few weeks ago. It’s unclear how many recruits Ryan Day will take in this class.
Ohio State is on a good path for this class. They just have to make sure that they finish strong. There is a really good shot that the Buckeyes end up with the best recruiting class in school history. Adding David Sanders Jr. and another five-star recruit would be the perfect icing to this recruiting cake.
