Taylor Swift is preparing to bring her Eras Tour to Cardiff after her final night performing in Liverpool. The hitmaker has been wooing fans in the English city and in Edinburgh on her UK leg of the tour.
The Eras Tour sees the American singer, 34, perform for more than three hours to thousands of fans. Crooning more than 45 songs from her back catalogue, the Anti-Hero singer leaves her fans stunned as she sings and dances non-stop, in all weathers – whether that be rain, shine, or bitterly cold British wind.
After Saturday night’s performance her team will now set their sights on Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for Tuesday’s gig (June 18). Taylor will then perform another trio of shows at London’s Wembley Arena (June 21, 22, 23), before heading further afield throughout Europe.
The artist is currently one of the world’s biggest music acts and, as it stands today, the biggest female touring act in the world and, as of 2019 has sold 200m records sold worldwide. She’s recorded 11 studio albums and rerecorded four of those, Fearless, Red, Speak Now and 1989 after a dispute with Big Machine Records with who she was signed between 2005 and 2017.
She released her latest record, The Tortured Poet’s Department in April, ahead of restarting The Eras Tour in Europe. It instantly broke records including becoming the highest single-day and single-week global streams for an album on Spotify and topped the charts in territories across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Americas, breaking chart records in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Now Taylor is en route to Wales and bringing her team including support Paramore, to the Principality. Get your limited edition Taylor Swift OK! glossy mag here

Meanwhile in Cardiff…..
At the Principality Stadium, there’s been some activity, setting up the queuing system and barriers.
We’ve also spotted some merch stalls going up and we’ll have more photos as we get them from the heart of Cardiff, which looks pretty sunny this Sunday evening.
There’s been no official word from the Stadium with regards to camping yet, last year, ahead of the Harry Styles show at the venue, fans were encouraged not to camp on the “stadium footprint” as there were no overnight facilities.
This is what they said in full: “For safeguarding reasons camping on the stadium footprint is strictly forbidden and queuing will be facilitated on show days only, therefore we strongly encourage fans to make alternative arrangements for overnight stays.”

Can you still get tickets for Taylor in Cardiff on Tuesday?
As South Wales Police warn of ticket fraud ahead of the gig, see here, there are ways to get tickets this late. But you need to keep some things in mind.
Just over a week before the Cardiff date, a number of ‘partially obstructed limited view’ tickets were released for the show. These are typically initially held back by event organisers before they know just how much of the stadium’s seated capacity will be taken up by the set. Now that the UK tour is in full swing and production staff know how much space is needed they have been made available. Fans who registered for tickets last year but missed out may receive a code from Ticketmaster to enter the site’s queue. Hopefuls will only be able to purchase last minute tickets through official sites with a code.
You could also try and get tickets through third party resale sites such as Viagogo and VividSeats. It is important to stress that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale.
Viagogo and Vividseats disclaimer
Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.
Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double-check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale – such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation – to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.
With that said, Viagogo also commented: “Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee.”

Fans spotted in Travis Kelce jerseys
Another popular look with fans at gigs so far has been the less sparkly outfit of a NFL jersey. Fans have been spotted wearing the shirt of Taylor’s boyfriend Travis Kelce. The superstar American football player hasn’t been seen at any UK gigs so far, but could Cardiff be the one? He could always stay over with his mate Louis Rees Zammit. Find out more about the jerseys here, should you fancy one.

It’s the yeast she could do
It has been revealed that Taylor Swift (well, Taylor’s people) ordered a massive Domino’s pizza delivery mid-show in Liverpool. Fans spotted it being delivered to the stage and the crew seemed to be enjoying it. While in Scotland, she was reported to have hired Greggs to cater for her crew. What do you think she’ll go for in Cardiff? We’d recommend a Fresh baguette or salad from Sage Deli personally.

Could Taylor be on her way to Wales?
Taylor Swift’s whereabouts have been unknown in Liverpool this week – but this lunchtime a big security presence has been spotted outside one of the city’s luxury hotels. They did well to keep that quiet! Read the story here. We wonder where she’ll stay tonight. There have been reports that the superstar is renting out this luxury cottage in the Cotswolds. We’re pretty sure it’s not the Travelodge anyway.

Get your moves in order
There’s a lot learn. But fear not, because we’ve rounded up an unofficial guide to all the moves and singalongs you need to know so you can join in on Tuesday evening – including what to do and when to do it. Obviously a lot of you Swifties will know this already. Check out our guide here to be sure. Our first tip is for when she sings Fearless. For this ritual, it’s the end of the bridge you need to look out for. When Taylor sings: “It’s the first kiss, it’s flawless, really something / It’s fearless,” you should put your hands up in a heart shape. This is actually one of the oldest traditions and one that Swift herself started, when she first did it at her 2010 Fearless tour.

Al the famous faces on the UK tour so far

So Liverpool saw a return to Anfield for Jurgen Klopp! Other celebrities spotted on Taylor’s UK tour so far have included Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe in Edinburgh, along with swimmer Ellie Simmonds in Liverpool. We’re wondering which famous faces we may see in the crowd at Cardiff. We’d love to know your predictions!

Will the roof be open or closed?
The Principality Stadium is the only venue on Taylor Swift’s UK tour with a retractable roof. And we can confirm it will be CLOSED on Tuesday evening. So Taylor needn’t worry about getting drenched in the rain, as we’ve seen at previous stops of the Eras tour of North America. So no need to bring a brolly. And having been at the Pink concert on Tuesday night, we can confirm that despite the cold June we’ve been enduring, the temperature was nice and toasty. So, no need to worry about your covering up your sparkly outfit either.

Still looking for tickets?
As we all know, tickets have been hard to come for some – unless you’re prepared to spend mega bucks. But some fans – with a code – may still find tickets on Ticketmaster. We spotted some with a restricted view earlier this week. More on that here. But a word of warning, there are scammers out there, so be careful if you’re not going through the official channels. This is Aimee, Fleur and Maisy – and they are gutted. They lost £620 between them trying to buy tickets. You can read their story here.

Cruel summer? Here’s the latest on the weather
The weather forecast is now looking a bit better for Tuesday. The Met Office is predicting highs of 19°C at 4pm with sunshine, dipping to 16°C by 10pm. And there’s less than a 5% chance of rain. We’ll keep you posted as we get closer, but it looks like your sequins will be safe! The day will be largely sunny with a bit of cloud.

Good morning! We’re getting a little excited…
Liverpool is over… which means one thing. Taylor and co are on their way to Wales! It’s now just 48 hours to go until the gig and we expect fans to start arriving in the next 24 hours. We’ll also be keeping an eye out for the Taylor entourage. If you spot the trucks, we’d love to see your pics. Send them to us at [email protected] Last night Taylor promised Liverpool she would return to the city but we now know the Eras tour will be coming to an end later this year.

SURPRISE SONG ALERT! It’s a new TTPD track
Our pals up in Liverpool have shared that Taylor’s surprise songs from the final night at Anfield feature a The Tortured Poet’s Department track.
Her second mash-up of the night was The Manuscript which is the first time she has ever played TTPD song live. She performed it in a medley with Red – in a nod to Liverpool FC.
Before that she performed a mash-up of Carolina from Where The Crawdads Sing soundtrack and no body, no crime.

Joe Alwyn opens up about break up with Taylor
In an interview with The Sunday Times, actor Joe Alwyn has opened up about the “difficulties” he faced following his split with Taylor Swift.
Alwyn was in a relationship with the 34-year-old pop sensation from 2016 to 2023, and reflected on their breakup when probed about whether Swift’s latest album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ drew inspiration from their separation. Speaking to The Sunday Times Style Magazine, he shared insights into the challenges that arose from the conclusion of his “loving, fully committed relationship”.

What’s happening up in Liverpool?
Taylor came onstage at 7.30pm on the dot as predicted by the team up at Anfield. She’s wearing her pink and blue bodysuit. After finishing Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince she tells the crowd “oh hi” and continues into Cruel Summer.
One breakthrough star of her show is dancer, Kam, who’s known for tailoring his part in Never Ever Getting Back Together to whatever city he’s in. On Saturday he treated crowds to his Scouse accent.
During We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – Kam said “jog on lad.”
On Friday he switched out the final line for “eee, get on your bike” in a decent Scouse accent.
And it went down incredibly well, with the crowd erupting into huge cheers.
Suggestions for what Kam could say in Cardiff totally welcome in the comments by the way. Get posting!

Cardiff’s got a reputation (wink) to keep up on Tuesday
So, last night in Liverpool Taylor paid tribute to the crowd and I think Cardiff can do way better (no offence to the Scouse massive, we do love you.)
After singing Champagne Problems, Taylor was so moved she took her earpieces out and stopped performing as she took in how loud the crowd were cheering her, reported our pals at the Liverpool Echo. After a couple of minutes, she said: “Wow. This is one of the most expressive, genuine, generous crowds I’ve ever been in front of. I’ve made so many best friends out here tonight. I am so lucky to get to play a show for people like you and to get to meet you.”
What do you think, Wales? We can show her some Welsh love, I think! Let’s do this!

Friendship bracelet event on Monday in Cardiff
The day before the concert kicks off, the city is guaranteed to be bustling with Swifties coming into Cardiff from all over. And as we all know they love any opportunity to make friends by making bracelets together.
The Old Arcadein Church Street is holding an event from 11am-4pm on Monday, June 17, where everyone can come together to celebrate all things Taylor Swift, make the all-important friendship bracelets, and ensure they are in the moment and ready for the gig the day after. Entry is free and there will be Taylor Swift-themed cocktails, cardboard cutouts of the Grammy-winning singer, and a singalong.

What will Cardiff’s surprise song be?
Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour is a finely-tuned machine. With sets rehearsed to perfection and with thousands of clips from the famous tour going viral on TikTok, fans have a pretty good idea of what to expect for her remaining shows. But one signature part of the Eras Tour is the ‘surprise song’ section, when Taylor strips it down to just her guitar or piano and surprises the crowd at each venue with songs just for them.
There’s been lots of chatter around what songs the Reputation singer will choose to serenade her Wales crowd with when she performs at the Principality Stadium on Tuesday, June 18, including speculation that she will might sing Long Live in a nod to the Welsh flag, as one of the lines includes: “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you.” What do you think she will sing?

Superfans travelling from all over the world
We have heard lots of reports of fans from America coming to the Cardiff gig because the tickets are cheaper here.
It is the same in Liverpool where reporters from the Liverpool Echo have spoken to 31-year-old Jessica who took an eight-hour flight from Colorado to get to the UK. She says tickets are cheaper here than the US but she has still spent over £1,000 in total on the trip but she doesn’t mind.
Jessica said: “I don’t want to think how much I’ve spent. But it is worth it for Taylor. I don’t regret it at all.”

Fans told to ‘take cover’
The poor fans who have joined the queue early in Liverpool are not enjoying the weather. As on previous days, hundreds of Swifties got to Anfield very early hoping to either get a good stand spot in front of the stage or get their hands on merchandise from the LFC club shop.
Staff initially began handing out ponchos to fans as many hurried to take shelter from the rain. Some however were worried they would lose their place in the queue to get in.
A few minutes later though, an announcement was made over a loudspeaker which said: “Could all fans please follow stewards to a place under cover. We assure you will not lose your position in the queue.”
Those who were queueing outside the stadium were then moved to take cover from the heavy rain.

‘Biblical’ rain doesn’t put off the fans in Liverpool
Some Swifites have braved the ‘biblical’ rain in Liverpool this morning to get into Anfield first and get first pick of merchandise.

Forecast for Cardiff gig
The weather so far on the tour in the UK has not been great, but there is hope for Monday and Tuesday in Cardiff.
The Met Office forecast for Wales for the start of next week says: “Mainly dry with cloudy periods alternating with sunny spells. Isolated showers are possible but most places remaining dry. Feeling warmer by day but nights often rather cool.”
The roof of the stadium is set to be shut on the night, but any fans planning to camp ahead of the gig will need to pack lots of warm clothes.

‘I sat outside the stadium to listen to Taylor Swift’
It is just days until the event of the year hits Cardiff. Taylor Swift fever is building in the capital as preparations enter their final stages ahead of the Eras Tour arriving for its one-night stop in Wales as part of its UK leg.
While some fans were lucky enough to get their hands on tickets during the release dates last year, there were plenty who were left broken-hearted – even after entering into special lottery draws and scanning ticket sites for re-sales in the hopes of a last minute miracle.
So some fans are expected to come to Cardiff just so they can stand outside and listen. Read here the experience of how that went for fans when she performed in Scotland.

The extortionate cost of last-minute hotel rooms
Taylor Swift is coming to Cardiff on Tuesday (if you hadn’t heard) and while many fans will have had their accommodation booked for ages, some late preppers will want to prepare themselves for some hiked hotel prices in the Welsh capital.
A quick search on accommodation website, booking.com has discovered that while there are some rooms still available in Cardiff’s popular hotels, prices are far from reasonable.
At the time of writing, booking.com had last-minute rooms at hotels (for two people) including Novotel, Hilton and Future Inns. While Hilton has their executive rooms available starting at £979, Novotel’s superior queen room starts at £504. Both include breakfast. See more prices here.

Second Liverpool show halted after crowd’s reaction
It was Taylor Swift’s second night in Liverpool last night and she was so taken aback with the crowds at Anfield she halted her performance.
The singer is performing three shows in the city with the last one tonight.
She told the Liverpool crowds last night they had made a “stunning impression” on her, and at one point even halted the entire show, the Liverpool Echo reported.
After a brilliant rendition of Champagne Problems, Taylor was so moved she took her earpieces out and stopped performing as she took in how loud the crowd were cheering her. After a couple of minutes, she said: “Wow. This is one of the most expressive, genuine, generous crowds I’ve ever been in front of.
“I’ve made so many best friends out here tonight. I am so lucky to get to play a show for people like you and to get to meet you.”
